American Dream Shoot

Montana was asked again to shoot for American Dream Hair Extensions and currently we are on the 4th day of a very long and busy week! There's been about 20 different people on set so far, including models, hairdressers, make up artist, marketing team, Montana photographing and me. Montana's been shooting long straight hair, curley hair, wavey hair, fringy hair and is now a pro at putting in micro ring extensions. We've been getting to the studio for 9am each morning but then had to wait a while for the make up and hair to be done. First day was mainly step by step shots for packaging, which is pretty standard and follows the same kind of routine. This has again been done this morning, but generally after each of these there is a finished look where Montana gets to then add in her own creativity to the shot, with the models pretty much mirror imaging her in her movements behind the camera. Right now, we are moving on to pony tails which Montana is in charge of putting in at the moment with Julie (make up artist) on hair grip duty. We've all had a chance to model our hands in the product shots, which was bad for me, I had dodgy nail varnish on and super short nails.

The studio we are using is rather amazing. Its above and Italian restaurant which means we are getting tasty food every day! The only down side about this is that we can smell food all day which means we are constantly craving garlic bread! The studios got some of Montana's amazing photography on the walls, which you can also see on her flickr. I even had Montana putting a fringe in my hair, would never of guessed that it wasn't real huh!

I'll post again on at the end of the last day with more updates from the shoot :)
